Stock photography of Indigenous Alaska is either non-existent, low quality, or ethically murky. WEIO is four days of extraordinary athletic imagery — raw power, cultural pride, and the kind of genuine emotion that no studio can manufacture.
I'll be on the floor for the full event, July 15–18, 2026 in Fairbanks — shooting the games, the dancers, the regalia, the quiet between-round moments. The result: a curated library of 50+ commercial-ready images delivered to five organizations who get first access.
THE EVENT
The World Eskimo-Indian Olympics — 65 Years of Living Tradition
Held every July in Fairbanks, WEIO brings together Indigenous athletes and communities from Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Siberia. The games are not pageantry — they are survival skills refined over millennia, performed by the world's best practitioners.
ALASKAN HIGH KICK
One-handed balance hold, one leg extended — then kick a suspended target overhead. Explosive, elegant, impossible-looking.
ESKIMO STICK PULL
A seated tug-of-war over a single stick — replicating the difficulty of pulling a seal from the water.
KNUCKLE HOP
A test of endurance and pain tolerance. Athletes hop on knuckles and toes across the floor as far as they can.
EAR WEIGHT
Athletes suspend heavy weights from their ears and walk as far as possible. Fortitude made visible.
FOUR-MAN CARRY
One competitor carries four people at once for as long as possible — simulating the weight of hauling game meat home.
DANCE & REGALIA
Stunning traditional dress, drumming, and dance performances from groups across the circumpolar North.
THE STRUCTURE

This is a non-exclusive commercial license for 2026 WEIO photography— five organizations share early access to the full curated library. Not competing brands, not an open call. Five clients, one event, one year of priority access.
After twelve months, the images move into Adventure CMO’s broader commercial non-exclusive library available for commercial licensing to the public. Until then, you and four others are the only organizations in the world with licensed access to this collection.
This is not a sponsorship. There's no logo placement, no social media obligation on your end. You're simply licensing commercial photography rights to an extraordinary visual archive — on favorable terms, before the window closes.

STEP 02
License/Payment
A straightforward commercial license agreement. Payment due before July 10, 2026. All five spots do not need to be filled before coverage begins.
STEP 03
Images delivered
Photos will be uploaded each day — ready to use immediately. The full gallery will be available within 24 hours of WEIO ending (July 19) after the event closes, your private gallery goes live with the full curated collection
STEP 04
1 yr exclusive use
Up to five clients can deploy the images across any platform or media in perpetuity with exclusive access in the first year. We try to curate our clients from a variety of backgrounds (Tribal, tourism, etc) to ensure minimal crossover.
